Elementary Aged Programs
At Summit Ranch, our elementary-aged summer programs help kids build confidence, focus, and real-life skills while having fun in nature. From mindful math groups and kids yoga classes to cooking workshops and animal care activities, each experience is tailored to support developing brains in a hands-on, movement-rich environment. Whether your child is working on emotional regulation, independence, or social skills, we meet them where they are with patience, play, and purpose. Located in Shawnee, KS, Summit Ranch offers a peaceful, natural setting where kids can thrive all summer long.

End-of-School-Year Yoga Celebration (8-12 yrs. old)
One Day Event
May 23rd 1:30–3:00 PM
Celebrate the start of summer with a playful yoga class designed just for kids! This 1.5 hour event includes movement, mindfulness, calming breathwork, and surprise activities to help kids transition from school to summer with confidence and calm. -
Mindful Math Workshop (Grades 3-5)
Mondays + Wednesdays (6 Weeks) Starts June 4th 1:00-1:45pm
This small-group class is for kids in Grades 3–5 who need support with math foundations. Each week, we explore key concepts through movement, games, and visual tools. It’s not about speed or perfection. It’s about helping kids feel capable, curious, and more confident with numbers.
We focus on foundational skills: number sense, place value, addition and multiplication strategies, division concepts, and word problem reasoning. All concepts are taught through playful activities.

Mommy + Me Summer Yoga (Ages 4+)

This playful, strengths-based class invites moms and children (ages 4 and up) to explore mindfulness, movement, and calm—side by side.
Each session includes:
Kid-friendly yoga to support focus and body awareness
Simple breathing tools to practice emotional regulation
Hands-on mindfulness activities to build connection and confidence
Classes are held indoors or outdoors on our nature-based campus, depending on the weather, in a warm and welcoming environment that helps everyone feel present

Kitchen Confidence Class (Ages 10+)
Thursdays (3 Weeks)
Starts June 12th 10:00-11:30am
Get ready to stir, chop, mix, and taste your way through a hands-on cooking adventure! In this fun-filled 3-week series, young chefs will build confidence while learning:
Basic cooking skills
Kitchen safety and healthy habits
How to make tasty, kid-approved recipes
Each session is packed with learning, laughter, and delicious bites. This isn’t just one class—it’s a full experience where kids grow their skills and independence week by week.

Care + Respect: Animal Skills Half-Day (8-12 yrs. old)
One Day Event
Monday, June 23rd 8:00am-12:00pm
Through gentle interaction with dogs, cats, and horses, kids will learn how to care for animals—and themselves—with empathy and awareness. We’ll explore how to safely approach, feed, and groom animals, understand behavior cues, and build respectful relationships. This welcoming, hands-on event builds emotional regulation, connection skills, and confidence.

½ Day Summer Camp (8-12 yrs. old)
Monday-Thursday
August 4th-7th 8:45-11:45am
Led by experienced therapists and mentors, each day at camp is designed to help kids feel capable and empowered. Through guided nature-based activities, animal interactions, and hands-on therapeutic experiences, campers learn to manage emotions, improve focus, and strengthen self-regulation in a way that feels natural and fun.
The supportive atmosphere fosters connection, reduces stress, and encourages kids to discover new strengths within themselves.
Middle + High School Aged Programs
Summit Ranch summer programs for teens are designed to support growing independence, emotional awareness, and executive function skills. Whether your child is preparing for the transition to college, exploring a career in animal care, or looking for a supportive space to connect with peers, our teen workshops offer structure, encouragement, and real-world tools. Teens learn strategies they can use at school, at home, and beyond—while connecting with nature and trusted mentors. Located in Shawnee, KS, Summit Ranch offers a unique summer experience that helps teens feel more capable, confident, and seen.

Summit Ranch Veterinary Exploration (13-18 yrs. old)
Tuesdays (6 Weeks)
Starts June 10th 4:30-5:30pm
Are you a student (or parent of a student) who loves animals and dreams of working in veterinary medicine? This hands-on course is designed for middle and high schoolers curious about animal-related careers. Students will explore veterinary topics such as animal anatomy, behavior, disease prevention, and species-specific care—all while working directly with Summit Ranch animals like horses, chickens, dogs, and more.

Neurodivergent Teen Group (13-18 years old)
Weekly Group (8 Weeks)

A weekly social group for neurodivergent teens (ages 13–18) who want real connection, gentle structure, and the freedom to just be themselves.

Thriving in College: Transition Skills for Teens with ADHD
Thursdays (6 Weeks)
Starts June 5th 1:00pm-2:00pm
This six-week course helps teens with ADHD develop key skills for a successful college transition.
Participants will learn time management, self-regulation, and academic strategies, while also building healthy habits and self-advocacy skills. By the end of the course, teens will be better prepared to navigate the academic, social, and personal aspects of college life with confidence.
